These impressive double-tiered grazing boards are AMAZING at The Garden Southsea. It’s back open for business after the long winter period.

Nestled amongst the trees and just a minute’s walk from Southsea seafront, The Garden is set in a beautiful courtyard.

We hope for good weather over the bank holiday weekend so make sure you give these guys a visit down Florence Road. With a new conservatory built whilst closed over the winter, it means this amazing restaurant isn’t completely reliant on good weather now. Still with plenty of outdoor seating, this place is really quite something. Lovely staff, great atmosphere and top marks for the food

Where can you get a decent Ploughman’s meal in Portsmouth, I hear you asking??! We can answer that… Six Highland Road.

Finished with one of their amazing coffees from Bubblehead Barista makes a perfect lunchtime break before returning to the office.

If you haven’t been to this cool coffee shop, you need to go there, open in the evenings too serving an incredible selection of amazing cocktails.

The venue is fabulously decorated by super cool artwork from local artist Roo Abrook Art.

If you like it here, you’re bound to like Broadway Coffee Roasters too, literally a five minute walk down the main road towards Eastney.

Had the signature Croxton's Burger tonight and it was lush.

Set in the vibrant seafront end of Palmerston Road is this cool bar which essentially is a restaurant, however with its fully-stoked bar and keg beer taps offering its very own 'shant' produced by a local brewery, this is a restaurant offering a gorgeous menu with top quality food with drink to match the quality of drinks on offer.

Super friendly staff, very attentive and accommodating families.

Nestled in the rolling countryside near Wickham, Quob Park Estate is Hampshire’s newest vineyard.

You could easily spend the entire day at this incredible vineyard, perhaps taking a tour of the estate, tasting their own sparkling wines and trying many other wines from around the world using their clever dispensing machines!

There’s a strong line-up of special events and wine tasting workshops too, but most recently, we stopped by to try their winter set menu in their impressive restaurant.

A generous selection of canapes was followed by the chalkstream trout with beetroot, then for mains we had a braised lamb shoulder pie with winter veggies (pictured). The evening was nicely finished with a chocolate ganache tart which was incredibly tasty.

This is a classy, straightforward and a faultless dining experience, the locally-sourced produce is bursting with freshness, punch and flavour.

We’re already excited to find out what the spring set menu will bring!

A five minute drive west of Portsmouth is the amazing The Dovecote Eatery.

We finally got to Nosh Box, tucking into this bad boy.

The Cheeky Pork Pickle tastes amazing, served on toasted brioche buns with two patties, plenty of cheese, smoked tomato and onion chutney, pickle and shallot relish and gorgeous crispy sushi onions. Plus there’s a vegan option too.

Situated in their incredible City Centre shipping container haven, what these guys have done here is unreal and make sure you give them a follow to be kept in the loop on their special events.

Go check this place out for yourself, opposite the Portsmouth & Southsea train station.

An endless amount of tasty breakfast goodness for your pleasure and delight, served at the one and only Shenanigans Irish Cafe.

If you haven’t been to this Irish bar located in the heart of Southsea, may we suggest you add this to your hitlist of places to visit this week.

Pictured is called THE CELT, served with a Buckwells sausage & Lorne sausage, 2 rashers of bacon, 2 fried eggs, black and white pudding, haggis, Heinz beans, mushrooms, hash brown, tattie scone, half roasted tomato, fried potatoes & toast. This would cure any hangover from the night before, whilst supporting an independent business who have been serving the good people of Portsmouth for over 13 years now.

Loving the new full-height bi-folding doors recently installed at Porters whilst enjoying our Sunday roast today, when it gets a bit hotter, with the doors fully open, it’s going to be very special spending the weekends at this awesome pub eating their incredible food.

We chose the chicken option but they also offer beef, lamb, nut roast and a vegan option too.

Extras of stuffing and pigs in blankets can be added, as well as extra servings of everything if you’re feeling particularly piggy.

Fish and chips perfection from The Eastney Tavern.

Their new menu has just dropped so make sure you check it out asap, it’s amazing and tastes so good.

Super friendly staff, incredible food, all set in a traditional pub with a lovely beer garden.

What more could you want?!

The Feel Good Doorstep (VE) from The Tenth Hole to celebrate another month closer to warmer weather.

This impressive sandwich is served with a pop of vibrant colours, filled with roasted peppers, hummus, vegan pesto, spinach and sweet potato, with a small portion of crisps on the side.

We decided to head here on a day where it was cold and overcast; a perfect day for soup but normally we would be sitting outside in the sun-trapped garden whilst listening to the satisfying sound of tennis balls hitting rackets from the many tennis courts situated adjacent to this popular cafe.

Top quality food, friendly staff, extensive menu choices and great location.

This Fish Board serves 1 to 2 people, set in a place you could almost picture the fish leaping from the water.

This beachside location is the perfect spot to break up a long walk along our city's impressive promenade.

Pictured is smoked mackerel rillette, beetroot cured salmon, crispy calamari, pil-pil prawns, dressed mixed leaf salad, chargrilled lemon, baked rustic bread & a lime & paprika aioli.

This popular Indian restaurant pays homage to the cafes of old, reigniting the hustle and bustle of their faded elegance. True love, Rediscovered.

Pictured is the Sev Puri (V). Oh my…a thrilling burst of ecstasy, most pleasurable when eating whole…let the party begin in your mouth!

Enough said....

Pictured is the Frikadelle Burger - Pork & beef German frikadelle, topped with a cheese kroket, homemade slaw, gherkins and Pilsner & tomato ketchup – in a pretzel bun from Maria’s Bakery.

Situated perfectly where Portsmouth's naval harbour starts, get the unique view where you can almost touch the ships coming and going from the harbour's entrance. Make sure you give a wave to those passengers going on their holidays to the Isle of Wight, France and Spain!

If you think the outside views are impressive, you just wait to see the brickwork inside, set inside the old fortifications which were used in olden days to protect the Royal Navy from attack, step inside Portsmouth's historic waterfront and be prepared to be amazed by its rich history.
